Shallow Depth of Field

I think trying to capture the shallow depth of field was more difficult than it orinally appeared to be. Sometimes it's easier to make the object blurry and the background clear but I guess that just depends on all the conditions, the lighting, the exposure the, distance and the speed.
It's alot of fun trying to get things just so and I"m having so much fun taking pictures.

OK I think I finally figured out how to put my pictures up on here. I wish I could figure out how to do more than one at a time. I have been practicing some what and want to take some more out side shots, just to use to some more. I'm really having a great time with this class. I love the Picasa program as well.

Happy Valentines Day

My daughter bought me the most beautiful rose which was the subject that I used to take several pictures, I used candle light, regular light and halogen lighting. I played with the effects a bit and think that those pictures came out really cool. I used black and white and sepia. I tried close up and distant shots. I really had a good time messing around with the pics. I really wish I knew how to upload pics to this site but I will see if I can get them listed another way, I think I may have just found it.

class 2/7/05

I was very interested in the class on Monday night because it was about the various lighting techniques and I want to try some of them at home, so that will be good because that's part of our homework. It will be helpful to me in doing some product promotions and also before and after pictures of some of my clients. Boy am I glad I saved all my pics on Monday night because my daughter deleted them all off the camera.

Class Monday 1/31

We took pictures with our digital cameras and I had a hard time getting mine to focus just right but I think a couple of the pictures came out with good clarity and were rather interesting to look at. The others were a bit blurry. I think all pictures are up for interpretation so it just depends on what someone is looking for or at in a picture that makes it good.
